VIVIAN NGUYEN

Hi! My name is Vivian, and I’ve been barbering for the past 5 years.

I discovered my passion for barbering at the end of 2016. At the time, I didn’t expect it to turn into a career, but I always knew that whatever I did in the future had to allow me to express my creativity and artistic side.

Prior to barbering, I spent 7 years working in retail, moving into a management role. During COVID, I realized I wanted something more than a job where it felt like autopilot. So I took a leap of faith, left my management position, went to cosmetology school, and pursued barbering full-time.

Over the past 5 years, barbering has been an incredibly rewarding journey. I have enjoyed developing my skills, exploring new styles such as mullets, blow out tapers, graduation haircuts and much more! Most importantly, building meaningful connections with the clients who sit in my chair. Being able to combine creativity with genuine human connection is what makes this profession so special to me.

I’m excited to join Mes Amis and look forward to meeting all the wonderful people who walk through the door!

Outside of the shop, you’ll find me binge-watching movies and shows, hosting game nights with friends and family, trying new foods and activities, or planning my next travel adventure. There’s so much in the world left to explore! And if you know any great food spots, let me know
